Dear Member, owing to an administrative problem we are unsure whether we have club insurance in place from midnight on the 31st December. As NSRA are closed until Tuesday 3rd January we have no means to clarify the position until then.

Because of this we have no choice but to close the club on Sunday and Monday as we cannot take the risk of opening the club with no insurance cover in place.

Individual members who are key holders AND who have their own 3rd Party insurance cover of at least £10,000,000 via NRA, CA or BASC can continue to use the range. I must stress however that they should not allow access to the range for other members who do not have proof of their own insurance cover as above, it must be assumed that there is no cover for a "club session" to be created.

For those members who shoot on a Sunday evening as the 4x2 group - the closure of the range must apply as above (only individual BASC, NRA or CA members allowed) unless 4x2 have maintained their own NSRA / NRA affiliation and insurance arrangements.

Urgent efforts will be made on Tuesday to clarify the position with every expectation that it will be business as usual from thereon.

The Glevum Target and Sports Club is made up of both the ‘Gloster Airgun Club’ and ‘Gloster Arbalists Club’. We have a dedicated facility, which includes a separate Clubroom were you can relax and have a brew. Glevum is proud to boast the provision of a myriad of Target and Practical Shooting disciplines indoor. Our current facilities enable us to open seven days a week. See Opening Hours for details. We also have use of a co-located Gloucester Association (GA)** owned outdoor range.
Glevum encourage new members of all ages (and both sexes!) to come and enjoy shooting at both recreational and competition levels. Loan equipment can be provided for new starters for most of our disciplines. Some facilities are available for the disabled.
Please feel free to email the Club Chairman Bruce Wiltshire for further information, or browse the rest of the website for information.

Visitors are always welcome

A warm welcome awaits anyone wishing to come along and meet us for a chat about the club and what we might offer you. To just see the range, Monday or Tuesday evenings or alternatively Saturday or Sunday mornings are probably the best times to call in.

If you want to "have a go" however it is important, in order to avoid a wasted trip and disappointment, that you first contact and arrange an induction session with either the Chairman Bruce Wiltshire on a Monday evening or with Erin Hatcher Pistol Captain on a Wednesday evening. You will not be allowed to use the range until you have completed an induction session.

If you don't have your own equipment the club has equipment that it can lend you for which there is no charge. You will however need to purchase targets and pellets and air. There is also a small range fee charged to visitors on each visit - see Membership Page for details.

We look forward to seeing you at the Club
